Sender Policy Framework (“SPF”) records allow you to determine which computers can send email on behalf of your domain.

Adding a SPF record to your domain name's TXT entry, can help improve email delivery rates by reducing the chance that the emails you send will be seen as spam. It can also help prevent others from sending spam and using your domain name.

Adding an SPF record is quite easy, and more information about SPF records in general can be seen at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sender_Policy_Framework

These steps below will explain how you can create an SPF record on your server using Plesk.

1. Log into your Plesk control panel

2. Click on the Websites & Domains menu.

3.  Click on the DNS settings icon

4. Click on the Add Record button.

5. Fill in the form fields as below. :

Record type: Select the TXT record type.

Domain name: Enter your subdomain name or leave that field empty to apply it on your main domain name.

TXT record: Enter your SPF record starting with v=spf1. For example

v=spf1 ip4:192.168.1.0/24  -all

6. Click on the OK button and then click the update button.

7. You can use online SPF record generator tools to generate the SPF TXT record. For example
